EMERSON RESIDENCE

Design Hightlights:

The central gathering space originates from a boulder-integrated fire pit, drawing inspiration from the native boulders clusters found naturally embedded within the aspen groves of the foothills above Boulder and surrounding alpine environments.  An elevated seating area, surrounded by dense garden plantings, creates a private retreat with views across the entire length of the property.

HOPKINS RESIDENCE

Design Hightlights:

This elevated garden shelf is designed as a functional seating area that grows naturally out of the surrounding garden. It is located in one of the few areas of the property that receives direct sunlight, creating a comfortable place to sit and enjoy warmth in an otherwise predominantly shaded lot.  Axial geometry drive the layout and organizes views of this corner lot from all street vantage points.

CANNON STREET RESIDENCE

Lafayette, Colorado

Design Highlights:

Located steps from downtown, this architecturally iconic corner property's design is shaped by a fusion of Southwest and Mediterranean influences. The site is conceived as an extension of the architecture, with a sequence of outdoor rooms unfolding from within the interior walls. Carefully positioned fountains, clay pots , and gathering spaces choreograph movement through layered gardens, while framed views and focal elements engage both on-site users and distant observers. The result is a cohesive, immersive landscape that balances neighborhood presence with intimate, private garden experience.

25th ST. RESIDENCE

Design Highlights:

A tiered horizontal wood fence defines the boundary to the private garden beyond the gates. Planting layers and subtle earth berming soften the edge, helping the fence feel integrated into the garden rather than separate from it.  A flagstone patio directly off the front door is integrated with lush plantings and a focal water feature, providing a calming visual and sound experience.
